Mardi Gras
It's finally FAT TUESDAY, the apex and end of the CARNIVAL or MARDI GRAS season. I hate to sound like a party-pooper, but I am glad it's almost over!
It's been a really long season this year, since Easter is so late. No, I did not go to New Orleans this year, I am at home. But, that's a plus: it's a State Holiday, so many of us are off of work!

ReplyDeleteI've been through Baton Rouge, and to New Orleans about twenty years ago.
Easter is such a strange holiday, as it can occur any Sunday between March 22 and April 25.
